K. WILLIAM CLAUSON
Bill has been a trial lawyer in Hanover since 1972. He has tried hundreds
of cases and has won notable victories against the state and local government,
against banks, insurance companies, major corporations and Dartmouth College.
He has tried hundreds of marital and custodial cases with over a million
dollars in assets
He has won important zoning cases, a major property tax abatement case and
major consumer fraud cases.

An article by Jim Kenyon of the Valley News entitled "Clauson v. Goliath"
stated "Clauson, who has practiced law in Hanover for 35 years, seems to get
particular satisfaction in representing the Davids of the world ..."
Bill is well known for his pro bono trial work on behalf of clients who cannot
afford the cost of litigation but have meritorious claims. As reported by Mr.
Kenyon:

For years, the people at WISE [the Upper Valley's nonprofit domestic and
sexual violence crisis center] have counted on Clauson to provide free
legal help to women who find themselves in abusive relationships and
without the money to pay for a lawyer. "It is an invaluable service,"
said Regina Rice, assistant director at WISE, "He's wonderful."
Other than work, his principal hobby is keeping track of his six children.
